Some frequently asked questions & answers for Parents and Students alike
Parents Frequently Asked Questions
What is the supervision like?
We have small numbers on each course and the Student to Staff
ratio will never exceed that of 6-1. Fully qualified Rock School
tutors will be present at all times moving from room to room
providing
helpful advice and facilitating the progress of the students.
Each young participant will receive focused attention from
all tutors during the course. No student is allowed to leave
the Recording Studio without permission from one of the tutors.
At no time are students left unsupervised.
My son/daughter is shy so will he/she be OK at rock school?
If they have a passion for music they will be in great company and complimented by their peers. During Camp, everyone's talent is appreciated and nurtured.
What if my son/daughter has never played music before?
Our Camp is designed to take into account all levels and ranges of experience to impart maximum benefit. Groups are formed on the first day and are based on individual preferences and skill. Soon your child will be having great fun creating music from scratch. Everyone contributes to making a song happen no matter what experience they may or may not have.
What will my child learn and experience during rock school?
Please see Introduction to Camp.
What is your anti-bullying policy?
We adopt a total zero tolerance policy towards any student harming another student either verbally or otherwise. We discuss this policy with the students on day one of all Camps.
Is my son or daughter too young?
There are separate groups for 11-14yrs and 15-17yrs. We only place your child in a group that we feel they will be most suitable for their age and level.
