Welcome to Claycastle Rock School - band edition 2008
Claycastle Rock School offers a completely unique opportunity
for young budding musicians. If you are aged from 12 years
to 17 years and play Guitar, Drums, Bass, Keyboards, Sing can
play basic open chords/note guitar /bass/keyboards or hold
a basic beat 4/4-drums or percussion then Claycastle
Rock School is for you .
Claycastle Rock School - "band edition 2008” is
aimed at budding musicians and songwriters who want to take
their skills to the next level.
  
The "band edition 2008" Rock School is for students
at intermediate or above level of playing, it may not be
suitable
for beginners.

Rock schools are held throughout the year during secondary
school breaks. Students get to explore their creativity using
the latest technology in the exciting environment of a professional
recording state of the art studio. During the camps, students
from beginner to intermediate levels interact with other young
musicians
sharing similar musical interests. Together they learn/create
songs from scratch and learn how to record, produce and mix
their final work onto a CD. All tutors are fully qualified
and experienced in teaching musicians, the camp will take place
in a new State of the Art Recording Studio
The students will be separated into different
bands where they will do some the following:
•Write songs with students on the same level
•Create a band based on your musical taste
•Jam
every day
•Learn to record and mix in a pro recording studio!
•Learn to upload songs to the web for everyone to hear
•Effects, problem solving and basic equipment safety
• Visits & talks by accomplished musicians
 •Take home a CD of your work!
•Learn to set up a PA sound system for live performance.

" Have professional guitar players & drummers helping them every day
" Help write lyrics
" Help write song structure
" Play there chosen instruments on recordings
" Record the song in professional recording studio
" Mix down the song to cd or mp3
" Create bebo & myspace for the band
" Upload the track to my space or bebo page for the band
•Have lots of fun doing all of the above!

Note: Students need to bring a packed lunch / money for lunch.
Deposit & Cancellation Policy
A non-refundable deposit of €100 must be paid on booking
with the full balance on or before July 21st.
Any cancellation received within 21 days of Camp start dates
will
be subject
to a cancellation
penalty being 50% of full camp fees.
